"Smartphone Fingerprinting: By Their Sensors You Will Recognize Them"
10:30am - 11:00am
Abstract:
We present a novel technique for tracking mobile device identity based on calculating sensor fingerprints. Some implementations of our fingerprinting scheme work even in non-privileged execution environments such as JavaScript code running inside mobile browsers. Our work has implications for mobile device identification on the Internet and also informs future policy decisions regarding the sensitivity classification of device data.
